Walk up to a TV, open the remote and put on a live channel, pick a film from the library or paste a YouTube link. Everyone around it watches the same thing at the same second. The server keeps the clock, so players who arrive late, reconnect or change bucket join where the film is, not at the start.
Switch to a channel and it is already playing: live news, sports, music or a film marathon, the same on every screen tuned to it. It needs only ox_lib, renders just the screens closest to you and checks every action on the server.
Yes. It is open source under the MIT license, the whole resource, no escrow. The code is on GitHub at github.com/JGCdev/xex_tv.
From the Internet Archive, only uploads marked as public domain, with adult titles filtered out. You choose the featured films and can block any title from the config.
No. It runs standalone with ox_lib. ESX, QBCore or Qbox are only used to lock screens to jobs.
Yes. Add it to the config with a film or a link, loop and an optional lock. It starts on boot and keeps playing with nobody watching.
No. Links are parsed on the server. Direct video only plays from hosts you list, because each player downloads it and that host sees their IP.
Its owner only allows some websites to embed it. Most videos play; for the ones that don't, the screen says so clearly.
